E.C. Comstock
Comstock (all pronouns) is a clay-based interdisciplinary 3D artist most recently based in Minneapolis, MN. They have spent time making work in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, North Carolina, and Montana.
Comstock generates abstracted tool forms which are swollen with the dense relational networks present in the rub between the self and built structures. They aim to take viewers to a place of both heightened eroticism and wholeness through haptic stimulation in the hopes of arriving at a mutually tender destination where stoicism and softness are contingent upon one another.
